I MADE THE FRONT PAGE OF ETSY!!!

WOW. Apparently I made the front page of Esty! And.......... i missed it.
Someone who was featured in this particular treasury, LatigoMoon, sent me a message to tell me about it. Unfortunately, it was around 3:00am Eastern Time.

Hopefully there will be a screenshot on the Flickr group with it and I can post it on my blog.
How exciting...and yet disappointing that I missed it...

Meanwhile, I have another treasury right now that is active... check it out: http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=69512
Please go check it out, click on items and leave a comment. I have featured a few of my favorite Etsians on there.

Wholesale order!

I recently made a large order of fabric covered buttons for a fellow Etsian, EliteBabyDecor. I could not wait to see what she was going to do with allll those buttons. Pacifier clips!
Check them out on her shop. These would be GREAT for a baby shower gift, birthday, whatever. I wish i would have had one when my little one still had her paci. I am sure it would have prevented a lot of germy and dirty pacies.

Here are a few pictures:

Very cute!! Great job. I Cannot wait to see more...

More Treasuries!

I have been very slack lately on my blog, trying to do some catching up now. I have been fortunate enough to get a few more treasuries. They are so much fun! I am addicted to creating them now. I learned that http://www.craftopolis.com/ not only lets you find out if you are featured in a treasury, but they now have have a 'treasury clock' which allows you to see when there is going to be an opportunity to create a new treasury (on the main one and on Treasury West). Love it!!
OK- so here are a few pictures of some of my treasuries...
Four SALES out of the one above!!! (While the treasury was active.) How awesome!

Flip flops, Pearls and Carolina Girls!

Yeah- I scored my second ever treasury. I am addicted now! This one was a lot of fun to create because I chose North Carolina as the theme. One of my favorite sayings is "Flip Flops, Jeans, Diamonds and Pearls - everyone loves a Carolina Girl!". Well, there aren't many diamonds on Etsy, atleast not from many NC artists, so i modified the title.

Please check it out, click on the items, leave a comment! I love opinions.

My First Treasury!

I waited... stalked...lurked...and finally, yesterday, I got my FIRST treasury! I have been fortunate enough to be featured in several, but I have never managed to snag one to create myself.
I am very proud! NOW, i need to figure out how to post a picture of it here on my blog. Until then, here's the link:

Organization

Finally, after a month of staring at it, I finally finished putting together the Craft table i bought. When i first got it, my dad and husband thought they'd put it together for me one Sunday afternoon. After 3 hours, only a tiny bit was assembled... and that was in vain. So it was left... never to be touched by them again.

My Mom and I decided to give it a try yesterday. After only a few hours, we had 90% of it finished. What is it with the men in our lives? They made it seem all difficult. Really, it wasn't that bad. I finished it by myself today. Wa-la!

Now my only problem is finding a place to put it. I admit, I try to be organized, but most of my organization efforts end up being a colossal mess. I have started moving furniture around and now I'm stuck. Once gain, I am waiting on my mom to rescue me. Maybe once i find a place for my table, i can get my creative juices flowing again.

Thank you notes...

OK so i am a bit peeved... this past weekend I went with my Husband and daughter to visit his parents. One of their friends bought my daughter a sweet gift, a little stuffed Easter Bunny. My M-in-law couldn't wait for my daughter to open it. As my daughter is pulling the tissue paper out of the bag, an envelope hits the floor. I pick it up. It is addressed to the person who gave the bunny to my daughter and has a stamp on it.
The handwriting on the envelope... my M-in-law's. It was a Thank you note for me to send to these kind people. She plays it off.. "Look! It's a great hand made card... i just know you could make something like this, etc, etc...
Please don't forget to send it to them..."

I'm thinking, WTF? Should I be angry that she's presumptuous to think that I will be a bad Southerner and not send them a card on my own? Am I so rude that I wouldn't even think to send them a card? Come on!

My momma raised me to be a good and proper Southern girl. I have been sending "Thank You" notes to people since I could write a complete sentence. I don't know if maybe one fell thru the cracks when we got married or had our daughter or what... but geesh. Stuff happens.

After the 3rd or 4th time she 'mentioned' to me "please do not forget to send the card", I finally said "Thanks, I won't. You know, you didn't have to do this, I could have taken care of the card myself if you would have just given me the address." I was nice about it, of COURSE! But seriously.
OK - enough of my venting. Just had to get that out! Now I feel better.

SPEAKING of Thank You cards.....

Have you ever looked at the handmade cards on Etsy? They are so amazing. I bought one today from CardsandNotes. They have some great stuff. But I bought a BIRTHDAY Card! And I will send it to my neice because I am a caring person and know how to address an envelope and send a card to someone. (Sorry - sarcasm!). CardsandNotes has more than just birthday cards...THANK YOU notes too!

That's my rant for today. I am getting use to this blog thing.

Peace.

Happy Spring!

I have spring fever. It's official. I painted my toes hot pink and have broke out the flipflops. However, it's a little chilly in North Carolina today. I am ready for some 70 and 80 degree days!

My spring fever is obvious when you look at the items in my Etsy shop. In fact, I received some good news today when I found out I was featured in a new Etsy friend's blog.

Many thanks to Sarah Kate!!

I officially hit my 100th sale on Etsy the other day! I was very excited. My 100th sale went to another Etsy favorite: CelticWhim. She bought one of my new felt flower hair clips. She has some great stuff too. Check her out!

First time featured in a blog!

I am so excited! I have been mentioned in a fellow Etsian's blog. When she told me she was going to use my bobbypins in her SOAP, I thought, HUH? But, OK! I make them, she buys them, she does what she wants with them. It didn't take DesertSoapStone long.
Check it out: http://desertsoapstone.blogspot.com/2009/03/what-happens-when-desert-soapstone-and.html.
The soap makers on Etsy amaze me!
